Penrose on Mass Ave features a two-story underground parking structure, 40,000 square feet of retail space on the first floor and 236 apartments across four floors. Located at the intersection of N. New Jersey Street and Massachusetts Avenue, the retail/residential destination is set for completion in April 2019. Huston Electric is providing all basic electrical work for the project including teledata, security, fire alarms and surveillance cameras. Currently, the four-person crew is installing lighting in the parking garage. Huston Foreman Troy Smith says the most difficult challenge ahead is coordinating installation with the other trades, especially after the wood has been put up.

The Penrose project boasts a truly unique design as it sits on a triangular lot. Unlike most apartment buildings, where all apartments follow the same basic layout – the residential floors will feature a variety of two-story apartments, studios, and loft spaces. Among some of the amenities for its residents, the finished product will have a swimming pool and bocce ball court.
