Local Lafayette Business Sign Receives Much Needed Restoration

Wabash StationsWe are always telling you about new signs and the latest and greatest that we have to offer, but did you know we can work with what you’ve got to give your sign a facelift? We recently worked with Wabash Stations to rebuild their existing pole sign and install new faces for their tenants. This sign was rusted and falling apart, but it wasn’t too big a challenge for us! We removed the cabinet and rebuilt it to ensure that it was safe and secure. The sign was originally meant to illuminate, but the customer didn’t require that anymore so we fabricated metal faces with vinyl graphics, which are changeable, allowing flexibility with tenants. It was easy to miss this sign before, but we think this transformation has made it a real STAND OUT! How can we help you give your existing sign a new look?

Of the experience, they said: “We would highly recommend eight38 graphics, for any signage work that you need. Sarah Hill was wonderful to work with. When they took the frame for the sign down, it was completely rusted out and they redid the frame at no extra cost. We love the way the sign looks and it is such an improvement to the center. Thank you eight38 graphics/Huston Electric for your fine service.” Briars I and II State and Glick Street Lafayette, IN

Eight38 Graphics Delivers Fun Colorful Wrap

If you’re hungry and on the go Dan the Man’s is for you, their food is amazing and the service is top notch!  That’s why we were so excited when Dan gave us the opportunity to work with him on his vehicle graphics.  He wanted something fun and eye-catching, and we had a blast designing it.  After we finished his food truck he was so happy with the outcome that he had us add graphics to his personal vehicle.  You certainly won’t drive past without noticing him now, so be sure to stop and grab a bite to eat with this STAND OUT client!

“I’m so happy with the job that Eight38 did on my food truck and now my company vehicle.  They are such great people to work with.  I purposely look for other Christian companies to work with and it’s very obvious that they hold dearly to their faith.  I can’t believe how amazing the graphics turned out.  I gave them a vision and they put it on vinyl!!!  Since then the food truck has been a huge advertising tool.  We have been at the ball diamonds in Rossville for the last 6 weeks and it’s really help helped to boost our restaurant sales as well.  Thanks again for a job well done Eight38!” – Dan Memmer, Owner, Dan the Man’s Taco Stand

Huston / Eight38 Graphics Helps Local Company Update Branding

legacy

Nearly everyone in Lafayette has eaten at one of the Hunter’s Pub locations, so owners Sandy and Jeff Tyrie certainly didn’t need our help bringing in customers.  However, they recently underwent some name changes and wanted to get their signage updated with their new names and logos.  Hunter’s Down Under is now simply “Down Under”, and Hunter’s Pub South is now “Legacy Pub”.

The food, the staff, and the fun are all the same, but now they have some updated names and a great new look to go with them!  We were able to provide new channel letters, door vinyl, and tenant panels on their pylon sign at Legacy Pub.  We also got the opportunity to replace the vinyl and install a new blade sign at Down Under.  The updates look amazing, and Sandy and Jeff were a dream to work with!  Down Under is in a historic district so we helped to design signage that would be compliant with the stricter regulations while maintaining the right feel for their location.  We love the new look, and we think it really helps them to STAND OUT even more!  Be sure to check out the patio at Legacy, it’s a great place to relax this summer!

While Eight38 can work with ready-made artwork, or utilize your existing logo and copy to create graphics for your business, vehicle, print media, or signs, we can also help you from the very beginning with all your branding and logo creation needs.
When opening or rebranding a business there are tons of things to consider, but it’s important not to overlook your logo which sets the tone for your business and becomes your customers first impression as they view your advertisement, website, or look for your sign when driving to your business.  Your logo is often seen not only on your sign and storefront, but also on shirts, letterhead, business cards, vehicle graphics, websites, social media, and much more.  Beyond having a quality logo, it’s important to have clean logo files – and to be the owner of those logo files.  At Eight38 we not only help you to create your logo, we also give you the files in multiple formats – which you’ll need when you sponsor that little league team, or take an ad out in the paper.  We also give you information on your pms colors, and discuss early on how the logo will transfer to different uses such as using a single color logo or utilizing your logo for embroidery on uniforms.Daniel Ellrich, who specializes in logo creation, is one of Eight38’s Graphic Designers.   We asked him about his approach to designing a logo, of which he said, “When I’m asked to create a logo for a new company, I tend to dive all in. I usually start out by simply typing the name of the company and staring at it for several minutes. I look at the letters, I look at the spacing between the letters, and I look for balance in the words/name of the company.  I start to sketch out concepts and anything that I can think of that relates to the company name. I always try and get my coworkers involved in the process because great design is hardly accomplished by one person. “ We also asked what makes his logos STAND OUT.  Daniel said, “I try to incorporate the essence of the business, as simply as possible, into my design. I love to include subtle hints as to what the business does into my designs. For example Grants Heavy Duty Service repairs large trucks and heavy machinery so I wanted to incorporate a wrench or a tool somehow without just drawing a wrench. I played with the G and was able to hide a wrench head in the letter.  In the logo for Integrity Towing and Roadside service I was able to turn the Y into a tow truck arm and dot the “I” with the Hook, its taking something ordinary and turning into something original.”What does your logo say about you?  Is it something that you’d be proud to have on your business?  Your car?  Your shirt?  If you are in need of a new logo or a logo update call Eight38, we’ll make you and your business STAND OUT!Huston Signs/ Eight38 Graphics is a full service branding, graphics and custom signage company serving central Indiana.  We specialize in helping our customers create their brand and then assisting them in marketing that brand to the public.  We help our customers visually communicate their brand in the following ways: business cards and letterhead, vehicle wraps and vinyl lettering, interior wall wraps, construction site signs, post and panel signs and way finding signage.Huston Signs provides and installs electronic message centers, channel letters, architectural letters, monument signs, pylon signs, neon signs and blade signs.  Huston has physical locations in Kokomo, Lafayette, Lebanon and Indianapolis, Indiana.Huston Inc. was founded in 1939 and has divisions specializing in electrical contracting and service, home and business automation, telecommunications, visual communications and signage, generators and compressors. To learn more about Huston/ Eight38 graphics, please visit us at www.hustonelectric.com  and www.838graphics.com

Taylor Power Solutions—Lafayette, IN
Michelle Wells, with Taylor Power Solutions, has been a long time customer of Eight38. The staff at Eight38 has wrapped many of her vehicles with both digital prints and cut vinyl, as well as used printed perforated vinyl on back windshields. This vehicle is the latest full wrap we have done on one of her brand new fleet vehicles. We worked with her to match their branding, and showcase their products. This wrap will help protect the resale value of her vehicle by protecting the paint from scratches, salt, dirt, and other normal wear and tear, all while keeping her top of mind, lending credibility to her brand, and helping her STAND OUT!

Please keep in mind that your fleet vehicles can serve as moving billboards. A custom wrap by Eight38 will help you get noticed and grow your business. Your vehicles are already on the road, so why not make them drivable marketing materials?
Michelle said of her experience “Huston 838 walked me through the whole process and made this experience a great one. I would recommend Huston 838 for all my wrap and vinyl needs!”

With a little hard work and a lot of passion, what was old is new again!

b2ap3 thumbnail cul2

Last year, Kevin Krippner with Culligan contacted Sarah Hill in regards to sprucing up their existing pylon sign.  The existing sign was chipped, faded, out of date, and had their old logo on it.  We removed the existing faces, scraped the existing posts, painted the posts “Culligan Blue” and installed the new pan, painted, embossed sign faces with the new logo.  The signs looks great, and with such a beautiful exterior we thought we should bring some branding inside with an interior wall wrap.  Kevin had put a lot of effort into remodeling the interior of this building, but his existing paneled counter didn’t fit in anymore.  Eight38 Graphics suggested wrapping the desk with vinyl graphic, to give the paneling a fresh look that would really STAND OUT!
“I had Sarah Hill with Eight38 Graphics give me a quote on bringing my 40 year old Culligan sign back to life.  It was sun faded, rusty, and the lights did not work.  I was a bit skeptical at first, because the rust was pretty bad – but their paint job took care of that matter.  Sarah and her crew did a great job with the graphics and the implementation of the sign.  I was really impressed with the additional suggestions that Sarah had.  The one I really love is a Culligan sign that is displayed on our front counter.  You will not be disappointed with Sarah and the Eight38 Graphics team” –Kevin Krippner, General Manager, Culligan.
